It was such a pleasure this morning to present so many awards during our celebration assembly. Not only did we have some great examples of children demonstrating our values but we also had some very talented children to celebrate. Mrs Hunton was blown away by the standard of the entries for the book cover competition. One of our reading volunteers, who is an artist, was given the very tough job of judging the artwork which was submitted. After lots of deliberation, there was a winner for each year group and an overall winner for the school. This was Harrison in Y5 and you can see his design below – very impressive! Miss Arksey and our School Council reps have also had the tough job of judging the wildlife area competition. In the end they couldn’t choose between two impressive designs and so decided that they should both win! Well done to Erin (Y6) and Daisy (Y4), and Teddy (Y5). School Council now have lots of work to do to bring the designs to life and there will be lots more opportunities for more children to get involved over the coming months and next year with this exciting project!
