I am especially proud of our Carr Stars this week after they have represented our school so brilliantly on their various escapades. On Tuesday, some pupils from Year 4 and Year 6 went to York University to represent our school in the annual South Bank MAT Sports Festival. The children were so fantastic at each event and even supported the younger pupils in Year 2 from our family of schools. Year 4 also became Vikings for the day and really impressed their teachers with how much they learnt and were able to share so many facts afterwards! Year 6 had a superb day in London on Wednesday. There were many firsts: travelling by train, going on the tube, seeing a West End show, seeing London from the highest viewing platform and seeing the pelicans of St James’ Park. We are also pretty convinced we saw the King in his royal carriage on the Mall!
